This weekend was Michelle and Roger’s wedding….it turned out beautifully….there were thunderstorms the night before and rain the day of…but nothing–save this light sprinkle–at the wedding. Yay!

For some reason I’ve never worked in pastels before, so when I recently came across a set of them, I decided to give it a try…and here is my first pastel painting!

This was painted by my father, a truly amazing artist, who always manages to produce paintings with such a breathtaking command of color.
